The Sanctuary is located on a small beautiful tropical island called Koh Pha-Ngan in the Gulf of Thailand, a sister island to Koh Samui. It is nestled into the corner of Had Tien beach, Best accessed via Had Rin town – either by car or by boat.

Getting to Paradise
The most direct way to get here is to fly from Bangkok to Koh Samui Island with www.bangkokair.com, Thai airlines now also fly to Koh Samui so check out their offers also . Note that Bangkok air has a very flexible ‘change your ticket’ policy and have 20 flights a day to / from the islands.

The island is easily accessible by boat from several places in southern Thailand. Most boats arrive at Koh Pha-Ngan at Tong Sala or Haad Rin. Either way it’s quite easy to access Haad Tien where you will discover the Sanctuary.
From Koh Samui: The easiest way to get to us ( mid Jan to late Oct) is with the Thong Nai Pan ferry boat. This ferry departs from Mae Nam pier on Koh Samui every day at 12 mid day and brings you directly to Had Tien on its way to Thong Nai Pan.

From Surratthani: Many ferry companies offer ferry boats directly to Koh Pha Ngan or via Koh Samui

The Sanctuary is situated on the east coast of Koh Pha Ngan and is accessed via Had Rin Town. By boat: (a 15 min journey.) Between November and February boats are sometimes irregular due to monsoon winds and waves. Normally there are 2 or 3 boats a day from Had Rin west where the Had Rin Queen ferry from Big Buddha on Koh Samui arrives.
NEW ROAD / track has now been cut to Had Tien & Had Yuan. While the boat ride here is part of the magic of the journey, if there are big seas or no boats available look out for a taxi truck at the HAd Rin Queen pier on arrival to Had Tien and Had Yuan.

From March to November the taxi boats run on request from the beach at Had Rin east on the sunrise side of the island. Just ask to go to The Sanctuary
On foot: if the weather prevents the boats from running or if you are feeling energetic we recommend the beautiful walk over the hill. The walk starts at 'Thai House Bungalow' just up the street from 'Yogurt Home Restaurant' and brings you up through coconut palms and then on through secondary tropical rainforest. Just follow the yellow / green dots on rocks and trees. Bring some water and look forward, not only to the sights and sounds on the walk, but to arriving in paradise at The Sanctuary where we will be waiting to welcome you...
